Welcome to the Lionesses
The Penyffordd Lionesses are our dedicated girls' football section, providing a fun, inclusive and supportive environment where every player can develop, build confidence and enjoy the game.
Now entering our fourth season in 2026/27, the Lionesses continue to grow, with Under 9's and Under 11's teams competing in the North East Wales Girls' League, festivals and tournaments throughout the season.
Our Pathway
Whether a player is taking her very first kick or already has years of experience, there's a place for her at the Lionesses.
We proudly support girls who choose to play in our dedicated girls' teams, while also encouraging those who wish to develop through mixed football. Every player's journey is different, and we're here to support whichever pathway is right for them.
As our club continues to grow, so does our ambition. Our long-term vision is to create a complete girls' and women's football pathway, allowing players to progress through every stage of their football journey at Penyffordd Football Club.
