For generations, Penyffordd Football Club has been at the heart of our community. From a child's very first kick of a ball to competitive football across every age group, we're proud to provide opportunities for players to learn, develop, compete and create lifelong memories in the game we all love.
Our Story
Penyffordd Football Club has always been at the heart of the local community, bringing people together through a shared passion for football.
Following the conclusion of the original club in 2016, local players came together to ensure senior football remained in the village, forming Penyffordd Lions. Success came quickly, with league promotions, cup victories and a reputation as one of North East Wales' most competitive grassroots clubs.
In 2022, an exciting new chapter began as Penyffordd Lions and Penyffordd Juniors united under one identity to create Penyffordd Football Club. The merger brought together senior, junior and girls' football under one banner, creating a genuine community club with a shared vision for the future.
Today, the club provides football opportunities for hundreds of players of all ages, from our youngest grassroots teams through to senior football. With continued investment in coaching, facilities and player development, we're committed to building a club that the whole community can be proud of.

Penyffordd Football Club provides football opportunities for players of all ages and abilities, from a child's first experience of the game through to competitive senior and veterans football. As a long-established community club, we are committed to creating a positive, inclusive environment where players can develop their skills, build confidence and enjoy football for life.
Bringing together our junior, Lionesses, senior, reserve and veterans sections under one club identity, we offer a genuine pathway through the game. Whether taking their first kick of a ball, progressing through youth football or continuing to compete as adults, every player is part of the same club, wearing the badge and sharing the same pride in representing Penyffordd.
Driven by dedicated volunteers, qualified coaches and the support of our local community, we believe football is about far more than results. It's about teamwork, friendship, opportunity and creating lifelong memories for everyone who walks through our doors.
What We Do
Our Teams and Community
Penyffordd Football Club proudly provides football opportunities across every stage of the game. From our thriving junior section and growing Lionesses pathway to our senior men's, reserve and veterans teams, we offer a welcoming environment where players can develop, compete and enjoy football throughout their lives.
Our senior men compete in the NEWFA Premier Division, supported by our reserve team, while our Lionesses proudly represent the club in the North East Wales Girls' Leagues. Our veterans continue to provide competitive football for Over-35s across North East Wales, ensuring the game remains accessible well beyond the traditional playing years.
Proudly representing the communities of Penyffordd, Penymynydd and Dobshill, we're more than a football club. We're a place where friendships are formed, volunteers make a difference and generations of players wear the same badge with pride.
Penyffordd F.C. has always been about more than the game itself. Built by volunteers and supported by our community, the club has grown into a place where players of all ages can develop, compete and belong under one badge.
Our ambition is simple: to strengthen every part of the club, provide opportunities for all and create a lasting legacy for future generations. Together, we're building something that will continue to serve our community for many years to come.
